You worry about keeping your family safe, we’ll worry about keeping them warm.
At Hollingsworth Home Improvement, we understand that it can be quite difficult to sort through all the replacement window options that exist in today’s remodeling marketplace. During your in-home design consultation, we’ll thoroughly present your different window options and discuss which makes the most sense given the design of your home, your budget and the needs of your family. We’ll even bring samples so you can test out our different windows – right in your own home!
In recent years, window replacement in older homes has come under increased scrutiny as a potential source of lead exposure, particularly for young children. Some contractors, attempting to avoid large fines, will conduct only the bare minimum Lead Safe Procedures. Even more ignore the rules entirely and put your family at risk to sidestep the extra time and labor required to prevent lead exposure. But we don’t want to risk the health of your children or grandchildren – so we take our Lead Safe Procedures very seriously. And so should you!

But there are so many different types of replacement windows! Wood, vinyl, pocket, full frame…how do I know which type I need?
Generally speaking, replacement windows can be divided into two broad categories – full frame replacement and pocket replacement. Full Frame Replacement Windows are custom designed to replace both the operational portions of your windows, as well as the surrounding frame & trim (both interior and exterior). These types of units are available in wood, fiberglass and vinyl. Pocket Replacement Windows are designed to fit inside your existing frame & trim, as they replace only the operational portion of your window. These are commonly referred to as Vinyl Replacement Windows and are available in a variety of finishes.
What brands of windows do you offer?
We offer a wide variety of popular brands of replacement windows that include Pella, Marvin, and RBS Performance Plus.
Your project coordinator will speak with you at length about the different options that are right for your home and help you decide which brand meets your budget and desired features. We can even provide you with estimates for several different window options!
